Musings

Those closest to me know that I think. A lot. This page is inspired by Marcus Aurelius’ Meditations. These are 50% shower-thoughts, 50% meditations, and 100% musings. I encourage you to read slowly and mindfully, reflecting after every section. Apply these statements to your life. Ask yourself: how is this relevant to what I’m going through right now? What can I learn from this?

1. EVERYONE LIES at times, whether it be to their family, friends, or colleagues. We try to restrain ourselves, but sometimes we can slip up. Make sure, though, that the number one person in your life to which you do not speak falsehoods is yourself.

2. PEOPLE SAY what they want to say and do what they want to do to get what they want to get.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————

3. SOMETIMES, YOU have to do the things that you’ve never wanted to do to get to the place at which you’ve always wanted to be.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————

4. THE GREATEST of people are not plucked from the green pastures like dandelions; they are forged in the insufferable heat of the forest fire.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————

5. YOU DO not become an example to others by what you think, but by what you say and do.

———————————————————————————————————————————————————

6. WEAK PEOPLE try to make their presence felt; strong people know that their absence will be felt.
